Seminar
Description
Mason Grigsby on “Love At
Second Sight - Playing the Midlife Dating Game”
There is
a new and growing market of 42 million singles over the age of 45 who are faced
with many dating challenges that did not exist in their youth. This seminar discusses the dating and
relationship issues that confront older single people.
The book, which Mason
co-authored, “Love At Second Sight - Playing the Midlife Dating Game” (New
Horizon Press, January 2004), is based on the survey of over 400 single men and
women over the age of 50 who responded to requests for data on their adult
single life experiences. The survey confirmed what has long been suspected:
it¹s a whole new world of dating, romance and sex out there and many are lost
at sea.
Qualities desired in mates
by younger people, like income potential or parenting capabilities, are clearly
not appropriate criteria for those in their middle years or older (the facts
are in), when common interests and lifestyle similarities are more pertinent
attributes. The seminar includes
real-life, inspiring stories of seeking and finding relationships and winning
the midlife dating game.
The “boat is leaving the
dock” for older singles and they need to find a way to be on it - this is a
discussion of this new process. The interactive seminar will enable you to get
answers to questions you could never ask and learn what is so different about
midlife dating. John Gray, Ph.D. (Mars & Venus series) has called this
book, "A realistic book for today's midlife single person."
The seminar runs from 1 hour to 1 day based on the needs of the group
and includes a detailed discussion of the survey of 400 single people, who
responded to over 20 questions about the major issues that midlife men and
women encounter.
